The artichoke our lands

OUR COMMITMENT FOR A TRANSPARENT QUALITY

OUR LANDS

It is a project born out of a long-standing collaboration with the agricultural world to offer transparent and sustainable quality assurance. Our agronomists together with our agricultural partners have selected the most suitable artichoke varieties. Artichokes are grown exclusively for Greci on 200 hectares of land between northern Apulia and Sicily. We directly follow all stages of the supply chain, from planting to harvesting, from manual cleaning to processing and transformation. The TERRE NOSTRE brand is OUR GUARANTEE of quality for catering professionals.

THE VALUE OF QUALITY

It is shared with our agricultural partners who have long experience and a deep culture of artichoke cultivation passed down through generations. Favoring 100% Italian artichokes allows us to offer products with unique organoleptic characteristics that are recognized worldwide.

SUSTAINABLE AGRONOMIC TECHNIQUES

Used by our farmers involve the use of natural methods to defend plants from disease while minimizing the use of pesticides. A cutting-edge technique friendly to the environment and consumer health, in line with EU directives and the green deal.

SEASONALITY

Of the artichoke production campaign begins in February with the early artichoke grown in Sicily. The heart of the production period is between March and June. The production plan deferred over time allows us to standardize the quality of the raw material and ensure its availability, in part by differentiating the geographical areas of cultivation.

THE CULTURE OF PROCESSING

Greci’s knowledge is deep and well-established and aims to best preserve the organoleptic characteristics of fresh raw material. The processes are carried out delicately and combine extremely manual steps of cleaning, sorting and cutting with others with higher technological content. The recipes are light and balanced and enhance the natural flavour of the artichoke, leaving the practitioner to customize them as desired and use the products for a variety of preparations.
