It is a variety of red brown rice, with elongated and crunchy grain, grown in Italy. It comes from the cross between Black Venus rice and a long, narrow grain. Rich in fibre, vitamins, mineral salts and proteins, cooking pilau, boiled or pan-fried; ideal for tasty side dishes, as an ingredient for cold salads and in combination with fish. Cooking time 40-45 minutes.
